Our Story

My name is Ashley Brahl, and I am the co-founder of Sensory Check. Alongside my husband Alex and our three children—Otis, Etta, and Amos—we are on a mission to bring free, sensory-friendly events to the neurodivergent community.

Our youngest, Amos, is severely autistic, nonverbal, and has bilateral hearing loss. Every day with him is full of challenges—some visible, some only we understand—but also full of moments that remind us of the power of connection, joy, and love. These experiences inspired us to create spaces where children and families with sensory sensitivities can feel included, celebrated, and free to experience the world in their own way.

Colorado is our home, and it’s a place where music flows through every corner of our lives. Music has a unique power to reach across barriers, to spark joy, and to bring people together. Through Sensory Check, we hope to share that magic with everyone, especially those whose needs are often overlooked.
